Accomplishments
I am currently serving my first term on the Greece Town Board. Since being sworn in on January 1, 2026, I have been hard at work representing you and delivering results for our community.
Here are some of the accomplishments we’ve achieved together:
Transparency & Accountability
- Livestream Town Board meetings
- Brought back public agenda review meetings
- Put more town documents online
- Conducted an independent financial audit of the town’s finances
- Opened Town Hall’s community rooms for public use and rental by community groups
- Reinstated the Historic Preservation Board
- Reinstated the Environmental Board
- Ended a 2022 change to the managers’ benefits policy that benefited just 3 employees at a cost of $347,000
- Cleaned up past misconduct that embarrassed our town, including eliminating taxpayer-subsidized retirement health care for a former town official convicted of two felonies related to her duties
- Reinstating the Ethics Board
Public Safety
- Filled the police staffing shortage
- Negotiated a new contract with the mall — paid for by the mall — to increase police presence from 5 to 7 days a week
- Secured a grant for police body cameras
Infrastructure & Environment
- Allocated $6 million for failing roads, sewers and sidewalks
- Prepared the lakeshore for high water levels to help prevent flooding from negatively impacting the entire Town sewer system
- Contracted with a professional grant writing service to aggressively pursue grants to fund town projects
- Applied for the Water Chestnut Grant
- Applied for a grant to reconstruct the 390/Parkway Bike Trail
- Stopped using chemical weed killer near play areas at Town Hall
Community Services
- Continue funding library programs
- Continue funding recreation programs
- Making it easy for businesses to move in
- Supporting existing small businesses
- Earned Age Friendly Community designation
- Working to improve trash collection for residents
- Working to clean up neighborhoods and remove zombie homes
- Brought back the document shredding event for residents
Making Decisions Locally
Standing up to Albany policies that could negatively impact our Town and quality of life — including efforts to:
- Outlaw the use of gas appliances
- Protect open space from large-scale foreign-owned solar fields
- Mandate that school districts purchase costly and unreliable electric buses
- Make it more difficult for law enforcement to keep our communities safe
